I bought this one of the last times my face went through one of its catastrophic episodes. My face was red, irritated, and burning. I was looking for something that would calm the burning...or at least not add to it. Second to that objective was moisturization and diminishing of redness. Unfortunately this did NOT do it. It stung when I applied the moisturizer to my uncomfortably irritated skin and the redness and inflammation increased. I tried it for a few days initially and then had to move on to something else. My face is not usually dry but during these episodes it gets painfully dry. I did not find that the Aveeno Ultra-Calming moisturizer helped soothe the dryness either. A couple of months later, the bottle still sits prominently on my counter suckering me in with the words "ultra calming" and I give it another go. But unfortunately, this moisturizer, for me, is anything but calming.

My dermatologist said everyone should put sunscreen on their face and hands each day. This is a wonderful moisturizer and sunscreen combined, and being a gardener, it seems to be very effective. It is also recommended in an article in WEB MD magazine.

I have tried some of the expensive department store moisturizers and this works just as well.

I have pretty sensitive skin, so I am careful to choose a moisturizer. Most daily facial lotions with SPF are too greasy or have a distinct odor (that I DON'T like). But Aveeno leaves my skin so smooth, and relieves the redness from my cheeks and chin. Before using Aveeno I would have to use a tinted moisturizer to create super smooth looking skin, but now that I use Aveeno I can skip the second layer :) I use this along with the Ultra Calming night creme.

I love Aveeno products. And when I saw they had an ultra calming moisturizer, I had to try it. After all, the price range isn't bad ... I have skin that tends to flush red easily, and it's on the sensitive side. Since I've started using this I'm not seeing so many flareups. I find myself going, hey, I'm not feeling so flushed and stuff, so I'm happy. Plus there's no strong scent, and it feels really gentle, it's not sticky or goopy, so I am very happy. And you get a bit of sun protection, to boot.

This moisturizer seems to deliver. Unless it's just my imagination, of course, but it seems my face has gone from red to pink. It would be great if it could completely calm down but using the Aveeno calming foaming cleanser and moisturizer does result in an improvement. Could be better, but I'll take it. I get much better results with the Aveeno products than I did with the way overpriced and completely worthless Clinique anti-redness products.

I have very allergy- prone and sensitive skin, so I thought Aveeno products would be a good choice. After using this product once, I developed an allergic reaction, which including redness, hives and trouble breathing. I had to go to the doctor for a steroid medication to heal my skin and correct my breathing difficulties. I have also had smaller reactions with Aveeno's bar soap, so I guess Aveeno products aren't for me.

I have been using this product for a little over a week and it seems to be doing a decent job in keeping my flushing, caused by Rosacea, in check. I haven't noticed it has done all that much with the bumps caused by the Rosacea, but it doesn't irritate or increase them either. It does tend to be a bit drying for me...I only use once a day, in the morning, and use Aveeno Intense Relief at night (although I have sensitive skin, the heavier intense relief cream does not irritate or aggravate my symptoms). I would give this 3 1/2 stars...not a miracle moisturizer by any means, but definitly a marked difference with the flushing, especially after eating.

I started using this in conjunction with the Aveeno extra calming foaming facial wash in an effort to battle the rosacea around my nose and mouth, and IT WORKED! I'd had rosacea spots for years that would dry out and itch & nothing worked to get rid of them until I tried these two products. I would have given 5 stars; however, I have used better moisturizers (and facial washes), BUT, none of them eliminated the spots on my face. At night, I just use a heavy moisturizing cream, and that seems to work okay. Not saying this will work for everyone, but this worked like a charm for me!

I have adult acne and I have fair skin. So every day, I have to deal with the red splotches on my face...covering them dot by dot with concealer. I started using this product once a day and, EXACTLY as it says on the box, the redness and irritation went away after one week. Now I can reintroduce my once-a-week gently exfoliation without worrying about redness. Thank goodness I didn't have to pay much for this little miracle!

This product works great. We used to sell it at my work and i bought it because it smells really good and wanted to give it a try. Most gradual tanners do not smell all that great but this one does! after a couple of days i also noticed i was starting to look darker. Like the other review, be careful in certain areas (i.e. ankles, knees, elbows)

I have very fair skin tones and I don't tan easily (or burn...I just stay about the same shade!) I had given up on self tanners because I was never very adept at getting it on in the "rough" areas and it just wasn't worth my time. Tanning beds are out now that I think I need to go see a dermatologist for a spot on my face...so that left me to try this product. It is terrific. I have used it everyday for 3 days and I have a tan and one that looks natural...not orange at all. You do still have to be a little careful about rubbing it in well as you can still get darker spots in those tricky areas (I always had a problem with my ankles and wrists when it came to self tanners). The change is subtle enough that you can't really screw it up and as long as you give yourself a few days to let it build up I think you will be really satisfied with this product. I tried the Jergens last summer and did not see these kind of results. Now of course, when I say I have a tan I mean I am no longer white. I don't look like I've been to the beach for a week, but that's not what I want....I just don't want to look like a ghost :-)
